Eldvyr - Terms of Use

Version 5 · Last updated: 2026-09-30 · Operated by the Eldvyr team · Contact: [email protected]

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and the Eldvyr team ("we"). By creating an account, downloading, installing or playing Eldvyr (the "Game") you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.

1. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old. By creating an account you confirm this and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

Keep your password private; you are responsible for what happens on your account. You may not share, sell, rent, buy or transfer accounts or characters.

3. Ownership of the Game

The Game and everything in it are owned by us or our licensors: the software, client and server code, 3D models, textures, animations, characters, creatures, items, maps, world, story, texts, music, sounds, user interface, logos and the compilation, selection and arrangement of all of them ("Game Content"). "Eldvyr", the dragon emblem and our logos are our trademarks. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of these rights to you.

4. Your license

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable license to install the Game on devices you own or control and to use it only to play the Game for your own non-commercial entertainment, as the Game is designed to be played. Everything not expressly granted is reserved.

5. What you must not do with the Game

You must not, and must not help or allow anyone else to:

Anti-cheat. The Game automatically checks that your movement and actions are possible (for example, that your game does not send more movement than the real time allows). When it detects cheating it may disconnect you, undo the movement and record what happened; we may then suspend or ban the account and remove anything obtained by cheating.

Streaming, video and screenshots of your own gameplay for non-commercial and content-creator purposes (including monetized videos and streams on common platforms) are allowed, as long as you do not extract assets or present the content as your own work.

6. Community rules (zero tolerance)

Eldvyr has chat and player names. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not:

Every player can block another player and report them in game (click the player, the [!] next to any chat message, or type /block Name and /report Name reason). Reports include the chat around them and a short replay of the game. We review reports within 24 hours and may mute or ban accounts and characters, temporarily or permanently.

NPC companions. Characters marked [N] are computer-controlled companions, not people. They can join your party, fight with you and take a share of the party's EXP and loot. Their messages are automatic.

7. Content you create

You keep any rights you have in your chat messages, names and similar content, and you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, moderate and remove it as needed to run and protect the Game.

8. Virtual items

Gold coins, items, characters and other in-game content have no real-world value, are not your property, cannot be exchanged for money and are licensed to you only for use in the Game. We may change, rebalance or remove them at any time.

Progress and balance. We may change the level cap, the experience needed for each level, the experience and rewards of monsters, bosses and quests, respawn times, boss difficulty and how many players a boss needs, as the Game evolves. Bosses are designed for teams (at least 10 players of the boss's level); boss experience and loot go to the players who take part in the fight.

Market and trades between players. You can exchange gold coins and items with other players only through the in-game Market and the in-game Trade window. Listing an item on the Market costs a non-refundable fee of 5% of the price you set; the item leaves your bag until it sells or you cancel the listing. Check every trade before you confirm it: completed trades and purchases are final and we do not reverse them, except when they were caused by a bug, fraud or a breach of these Terms. Trading for real money or anything outside the Game is forbidden (see section 5).

Exploits. Using a bug to duplicate or create items or gold, or to get anything the Game does not normally allow, is cheating. Report bugs to us instead. We keep a record of how every item and gold amount moves in the Game (who, when, where and with whom) to detect and undo this, and we may remove items or gold obtained that way from every account that received them.

9. Enforcement

If you break these Terms we may, without refund and at our discretion: warn you, reset or remove items or progress, mute you, suspend or permanently ban your account and devices, and take legal action, including claims for damages and injunctions for any infringement of our intellectual property. We may report copies or clones of the Game to app stores and hosting providers.

10. Reporting infringement

To report content that infringes your rights, or a copy of our Game, write to [email protected] with the details.

11. Availability

We try to keep the servers online, but the Game is provided "as is" without warranties, and may be interrupted for maintenance or ended with reasonable notice.

12. Termination

You can delete your account at any time (see /delete-account). Your license ends when your account is deleted or suspended. Sections 3, 5, 8, 9 and 13 survive termination.

13. Liability

To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or for loss of virtual items. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law where you live.

14. Third-party software

The Game uses third-party components under their own licenses (see /licenses). Those licenses apply only to those components, not to our Game Content.

15. Changes

If these Terms change, the Game will ask you to accept the new version before playing.
